I spent three years in one of Florida’s toughest women’s prisons. But behind those bars, I found something they never expected me to: my purpose.
From inmate to educator, from silence to strategy—I transformed my sentence into a mission.

When Everything Fell Apart—Everything Began
The day I was incarcerated, I knew my life had changed forever.
But I refused to be defined by that moment.
I stepped into leadership, ran the Orientation Dorm, taught DOC policies, and eventually designed
my course for other women inside.
That course planted the seed for what is now known as Prison101ED—a platform to educate, advocate, and prepare.

From Inside the System, I Saw the Brokenness—And the Potential
Prison became a place of spiritual awakening. I journaled. I studied.
I created a curriculum. And I made a promise:
“If I ever get out of here, I’m going back in—differently.”
Today, I keep that promise by working with families, professionals, and incarcerated individuals nationwide.

I’m Dalis Freixa. A woman who’s been through it walked it and now teaches others how to do it smarter,
stronger, and with dignity.
